Titan partner with Chaleur Forest Products to continue One Goal, One Tree initiative

BATHURST, N.B. – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan are pleased to announce that the Titan Foundation’s One Goal, One Tree initiative is back again for another season in Titan territory! This year our environmental project will be sponsored by local company Chaleur Forest Products.

Earlier this summer, Chaleur Forest Products delivered more than 200 trees to the K.C. Irving Regional Centre, for the community to plant following Acadie-Bathurst’s 2021-22 campaign. As a quick refresher, at the start of last season we implemented the then Trevali-sponsored environmental project One Goal, One Tree. We created the project after adopting the Rimouski Oceanic’s 2021 launch of its “Un but, un arbre”!

In a nutshell (yes, we said it!) for every goal scored last year, we would plant a tree in the community. When the whistle sounded on our 2021-22 season, your Titan had found the back of the net 280 times. It was exciting to plant as many trees in our beautiful region because of their successful efforts on the ice! Chaleur Forest Products will be the One Goal, One Tree sponsor for the next five years. We’re thrilled to plant hundreds of trees in the Chaleur region and continue growing our strong community partnerships.

“The ‘One Goal, One Tree’ campaign is a perfect match for Chaleur Forest Products – one part community involvement and one part forest sustainability – two of our top priorities! We are proud to partner on this initiative with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan,” said Andy Barrieau, Vice-President, Woodlands, Chaleur Forest Products.

“We have loved this initiative since Day One and are thrilled to bring our community-focussed project One Goal, One Tree back for many more seasons in the Chaleur region,” said Bryannah James, Titan Foundation and Communications Coordinator. “Because of Chaleur Forest Products and our talented hockey players, we will continue to positively impact our local environment.”
