Titan hold 16 picks heading into 2021 QMJHL Draft

The 2021 QMJHL Draft takes place this weekend with the Acadie-Bathurst Titan owning 16 picks, including the 16th overall selection. The first round will be broadcasted live from the QMJHL’s YouTube channel, while rounds 2-14 and the American Draft will be held the next day.

General Manager Sylvain Couturier and his scouting staff are no strangers to picking 16th overall, having selected forward Cole Huckins with the pick in 2019 and defenceman Lane Hinkley in 2020. The Titan also took Bruno Gervais with pick #16 in 2001 and Jean-Claude Sawyer in 2002.

As it stands, the team does not have another pick until the fourth round, 58th overall. That pick was acquired from the Drummondville Voltigeurs for forward Dylan Champagne back in January. The Titan have only selected 58th overall once before, taking Jimmy Huntington with the pick in 2o14.

The Titan also have five picks in rounds five and six, including three sixth round selections for the second year in a row. Here is the full list of picks belonging to the Titan heading into tomorrow’s draft:
