Q: What is your favourite childhood hockey memory?
A: My favourite childhood memory is the annual Quebec hockey trip in spring hockey. I played for Xtreme Hockey and we had the same group of players and parents every year. It was always fun going to a big city and making memories. Our final year going, we won the tournament after coming in as the 3rd seed and it is a memory I will never forget.
Q: What is it about the game that you love the most?
A: The thing I love about the game so much is the memories and lessons you can take away from hockey. My childhood is filled with memories and I like to think I wouldn’t be the person I am today without everything hockey has taught me in the real world and life.
Q: What kind of foods do you like to eat and what is your pre-game meal?
A: I like to eat meat and potatoes, that’s more of my kind of foods. I am somewhat a picky eater and being from P.E.I it was more of a meat and potatoes diet growing up. My pre-game meal is chicken Alfredo with garlic bread.
Q: What kind of music do you like to listen to? Who is your favourite band/artist and why?
A: I’m more of a old-style guy. Although I like all genres of music, my favourites are country and old country. I don’t have a favourite band but I enjoy Conway Twitty, Alabama, The Rankin Family Band, and for newer singers Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, and Zac Brown Band. The Saturday Night Hoedown on 95.1. CFCY back home is one of my favourite things to do.
Q: What are your top five favourite movies/TV series to watch?
A: Friends, Miracle on Ice, Dirty Grandpa, Forest Gump, The Grinch.
Q: Do you enjoy reading? If so, what are your favourite books/authors?
A: I’m not a big reader, but when I do read I like non-fiction novels about feel-good stories, and wars.
Q: Which NHL team do you cheer for? Why?
A: I’ve always said Pittsburgh Penguins but I am more of a guy that just enjoys watching good hockey. I follow New Jersey a bit now and enjoy watching their games now that I’ve attended their camp and met some of the guys that play there.
Q: What is your favourite restaurant in Bathurst? What do you usually order there?
A: My favourite restaurant in Bathurst is Pur & Simple. It’s a very nice setup and the service is great. My go-to order is the black and blue, but I make it a black and black because I love chocolate chip pancakes.
Q: What is your favourite place in the Chaleur region? Why?
A: My favourite place in the Chaleur region is Gowan Brae. There’s a beautiful golf course there and some beautiful properties and scenery that reminds me of home.
Q: Tell us something unique about your hometown?
A: I’m from a very small town called Tyne Valley. There’s a population of 264 people. Although it’s small, it’s home of the Oyster Festival, Rock the Boat Music Festival and the World Oyster Shucking Competition. It’s something everyone looks forward to in the community and everyone comes out to support and enjoy.
Q: What are your other hobbies and interests?
A: Going to the beach, Golfing, Working out, Watching sports with friends, Spending time with my family & girlfriend
Q: Do you have a nickname? If so, what is it and how did you get it?
A: I have a couple; Biggs & Biggsy. It’s just shorter and easier way to say my last name.
Q: What is your favourite animal and why?
A: My favourite animal is a dog. I’ve always had dogs growing-up and I love their personalities and happiness they bring.
Q: Are you an Xbox or PlayStation player?
A: I am a PlayStation guy for sure. I used to be an Xbox guy but I made the switch and I don’t think I’ll be making any changes.
