Huntington leads Oceanic past Titan

RIMOUSKI, Que. – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan were back in action after a five-day break as they visited the Rimouski Oceanic Friday night. Despite not having any games on the schedule, it was a busy week off the ice for the Titan as we welcomed Mario Durocher as the teams new head coach and signed forward Seva Losev.

It look as though the Titan would get out of the first period without giving up a goal however the Oceanic managed to get one on the board in the dying seconds of the frame. A costly mistake by Noah Dobson allowed Jimmy Huntington to beat Mark Grametbauer giving Rimouski a 1-0 lead. The goal came at 19:46 assisted by Alexis Lafreniere and Olivier Garneau.

That trio hooked up for another goal 48 seconds into the second period with Huntington getting his second of the night. Lafreniere and Garneau once again got the helpers on the insurance marker. Not long after that Lafreniere found the back of the net to extend the Oceanic lead to 3-0. Huntington and Charles-Edouard D’Astous grabbed the assists at 2:37. No goals would be scored in the third and final period as the Oceanic took this one 3-0.
