Dear fans, season ticket holders, sponsors, partners and citizens of the Acadie-Bathurst region,
First of all, it is important for us, the Titan owners, to offer you our deepest apologies for the various outbursts in the traditional media and social media over the past few days. It is now time to open up the channels of discussion and ensure transparency to the best of our ability. We are aware that there may currently be a wave of misunderstanding and uncertainty among our supporters and the community. We assure you that we are working hard to keep your regional team in the Acadie-Bathurst region.
That being said, there are still discussions and negotiations between the Acadie-Bathurst Titan owners and Fix Auto Canada Inc. It is important to note that Fix Auto Canada Inc. has assured us that Titan hockey will remain in Bathurst. Fix Auto Canada Inc. will partner with the Titan shareholder group and together, they will work to the best of their abilities to keep the Titan operating and growing in Bathurst. The vision of the current shareholders is clear, as stated in the publication “Your Titan, Here to Stay”; Keep YOUR Titan in Bathurst.
Over the past 25 years, the Titan, its fans, and the Acadie-Bathurst community have overcome many challenges to our regional team. It is important for us to build new bridges, look to the future, and solidify hockey in the Acadie-Bathurst region. We are a team that brings people together.
Being the smallest team in the Canadian Hockey League (CHL) comes with many challenges and complexities. The support of the fans, the city of Bathurst and the greater Acadie-Bathurst region, sponsors and partners is essential to its survival.
It is with honesty and openness that we wish, and will work, to keep your regional team in the Chaleur region.
President, Acadie-Bathurst Titan
