Wildcats thump Titan to end Rivalry Weekend

MONCTON, N.B. – After their late comeback attempt was spoiled Friday night against the Moncton Wildcats at home, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan hit the road to Moncton to once again tangle with the Wildcats. This time around it was a very different result and not in a good way for the Titan.

The Wildcats scored four times in the first period and never looked back. Jacob Stewart opened the scoring at 4:02 followed by Brady Pataki at 9:19 and Jakob Pelletier at 12:36. Pelletier would add another at 19:32 to make it 4-0 Wildcats after one. In the second period, the bleeding continued.

Jacob Hudson’s third of the year pushed the Moncton lead to 5-0 at 7:34 before Jeremy McKenna extended it to 6-0 at the 14:49 mark. So, we went into the third period trailing 6-0. A powerplay goal midway through the frame from Nicolas Kingsbury-Fournier, his first QMJHL goal, accounted for the 7-0 final score.
