ROUYN-NORANDA, Que. – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan visited the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies Friday night for game two of their three-game road trip. The Titan were looking to get on a roll after topping the Gatineau Olympiques 5-3 Wednesday night. However, the Huskies had a other plans on their Pink in the Rink night.

After a scoreless first period in which the Titan outshot the Huskies 9-4, things started to pick up. It wasn’t until late in the second period that the first goal went on the board and it was the home side that got it. Justin Bergeron wacked at the puck on a flurry in front and it found its way past Reilly Pickard to make it 1-0 at 16:17. That would be the score through 40 minutes of play with the shots still favouring the Titan 25-13.

Bathurst tied the game quickly in the third period. The captain Jeffrey Viel skated the puck in on the right wing and threw a quick shot on net that fooled Samuel Harvey evening the score at a goal apiece. Dawson Theede was announced as having the lone assist, but it was marked down as unassisted by the official scorekeepers. On a man advantage almost halfway through the frame, Peter Abbandonato restored the Huskies lead 2-1 with his third of the season.

Rouyn-Noranda would add two goals late in the game to cap off a 4-1 victory in front of their home crowd. Rafael Harvey-Pinard’s eighth of the year came at 15:58, and then he would assist on Tyler Hinam’s goal at 17:39. Samuel Harvey made 31 saves and earned the first star, while Reilly Pickard stopped 20 for the losing side.
