Titan fall to Tigres in Saturday night matchup

BATHURST – After another loss on Friday night to the Rimouski Oceanic, the Acadie-Bathurst Titan looked to finally snap their losing skid as they took on the Victoriaville Tigres. Unfortunately it was not to be as the Tigres scored four times and only allowed one goal to defeat the Titan for the second time this season.

No goals were scored in the first period but it took just 28 seconds for one to be scored in the second as Vincent Sevigny opened the scoring. It remained 1-0 through two periods of play. The Tigres would get tallies from Gallo-Demetris and Lafrance in the first 10 minutes of the final frame before Cole Rafuse found the back of the net for Bathurst at 10:16. Anderson MacDonald and Yan-Cedric Gaudreault got the helpers on the powerplay marker. An empty net goal from Olivier Mathieu sealed the game at 17:59 as Victoriaville left town with a 4-1 victory in hand.
