Outen makes 43 saves in loss to Voltigeurs

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. – Playing their second game in as many nights the Acadie-Bathurst Titan went head-to-head with one of the top teams in the QMJHL this season, the Drummondville Voltigeurs. Despite being without their captain Maxime Comtois the Voltigeurs handled the Titan without trouble as they skated to a 6-0 victory.

After a scoreless first period that Drummondville outshoot the Titan 18-1 they came out firing in the second. Gregor MacLeod opened the scoring 38 seconds in as they were finally able to solve Tyriq Outen. Brandon Skubel made it 2-0 at 9:58 followed by Cedric Desruisseaux’s 16th of the season at 19:55 to give the Voltigeurs a 3-0 edge through 40 minutes of play.

Skubel would add his second of the game in the third period while Nicolas Guay and Felix Lauzon notched singles to account for the 6-0 final score. Despite the loss Tyriq Outen made 43 saves as his Titan were outshot 49-9 overall.
