BATHURST – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan did battle with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens on Sunday afternoon as Olivier Galipeau welcomed his former team to his new home. Five different players scored as the Titan thumped the Sagueneens 5-1.

Ethan Crossman opened the scoring at 7:19 with his 16th of the season with assists going to Antoine Morand and Noah Dobson. Liam Murphy’s powerplay goal at 9:44 made it 2-0 Titan midway through the opening frame. Helpers went to Adam Holwell and Jordan Maher.

In the later stages of the second period Cole Rafuse and Mitchell Balmas each scored to double the home teams lead to 4-0. Keenan MacIsaac picked up assists on each goal while Samuel L’Italien and Domenic Malatesta picked up singles. An unassisted goal by Vladislav Kotkov got the Sagueneens on the board in the third but Jeffrey Viel responded at 3:51 to shutdown any hope they had of a comeback and the Titan took it 5-1.
