VAL-D’OR, Que. – The Acadie-Bathurst Titan finished off a three-game road trip through Quebec Saturday night as they took on the Val-d’Or Foreurs at Centre Air Creebec. In their first meeting of the season, it was a quiet first 10 minutes.
That all changed when the Titan opened the scoring midway through the opening frame. Noah Dobson took a pass from Adam Holwell and fired a shot from the point that got past Jonathan Lemieux to give the visitors a 1-0 edge at 11:18. Logan Chisholm picked up the secondary assist on the play.
Seven seconds later the Foreurs struck back and tied the game. Maxim Mizyurin fed Adam Cheezo and he beat Dominik Tmej to even the game at a goal apiece. Tyler Higgins had the other assist. The game stayed tied 1-1 through 20 minutes of play.
In the second period, the Foreurs took the lead with a late period goal. David Henley put a weak shot on net that found it’s way through a crowd in front and into he net making it 2-1. Simon Lafrance notched the lone helper. Maxim Mizyurin would add a powerplay goal at 9:58 before Nicolas Ouellet scored his seventh of the season at 17:16 to seal the deal. The Foreurs took it 4-1 to send the Titan home with only one win on the three-game swing.
Between the pipes rookie goaltender Jonathan Lemieux was impressive making 35 saves for his third win of the season. Dominik Tmej made 20 stops for the visitors.

The Titan now head back home to get ready for a Wednesday date with the Saint John Sea Dogs. Puck drops at 7pm for the first game of a five-game home stand.
