Nearly half of the 2017-18 Acadie-Bathurst Titan roster will participate in NHL development and rookie camps this summer. A total of 12 players from the Memorial Cup champions are taking part in camps throughout the summer, nine of which took part in development camps this past week.
Six of those players are drafted by or under contract with an NHL team while the other six received free agent invites. Noah Dobson headlines the group after being selected 12th overall by the New York Islanders in the 2018 draft while Evan Fitzpatrick and German Rubtsov were 2016 selections of the St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers respectively. Antoine Morand was drafted in 2017 by the Anaheim Ducks, Jeffrey Viel signed an AHL contract with the San Jose Sharks during the President Cup final and Olivier Galipeau inked an AHL deal with the Boston Bruins earlier this week.
Adam Holwell (Toronto), Michal Ivan (Los Angeles, Samuel Asselin (Columbus), and Justin Ducharme (Anaheim) all received invites and skated in development camps this week. Tyriq Outen, a recent free agent signing by the Titan, also particpated in Toronto Maple Leafs development camp on a free agent invite.
Rounding out the list is Mitchell Balmas, who will head to rookie camp with the Philadelphia Flyers later this summer, and Samuel L’Italien was accepted an invite to Winnipeg Jets rookie camp.
